Letter to Victoria

Dear Victoria,

 I would like to tell you about my life now. I remember that day two months ago, when we met. I really appreciate your help, because without your tips it was impossible for me to get accustomed to living in America. Now, I used to it, but at the beginning it was considerably difficult. Fortunately, I have some my books with me, and when I felt nostalgia for my native country I just started to read it. In fact, reading is my only kind of pleasure here but I have a faith, that everything will be better. I had a cultural shock, but it disappeared because of the diverse of other problems, so, now I’m trying to soak all the information up in order to go to school later. But there is one drawback – it is difficult for me to live in such a vibrant city, so once or twice a month I go for a wander to see some remote areas, stunning views and unique places, to sit in silence and read a book.

What about my family, we are living in the apartment that is very similar to yours. I slept in the kitchen on the kip, but now it is too cold and I sleep on the bed with my little sister, and it really makes a change. We don’t have time to laze around, so I help my mom to do different work in the house, for example yesterday I sewed clothes and my sister sold it. In general, we are trying to retain the apartment in good conditions and my father has a desire to restore it in future. Daddy’s business is flourishing enough to say that in a few years our life will be more comfortable.

Tell me about your life, is it changed? How is your family? It would be nice if you visit me, but let me know in advance. I'm looking forward for your letter!

The Ways of Improving Educational System

  Very often we hear about some changes in the world. But, it’s common knowledge that the educational system hasn’t changed for many years. Now, every child has a right to education, but not everyone wants to use this right. Children lose their interest to studying, and when it is time to get a tertiary education, they face a lot of problems. So, is there a rough idea how to force pupils to crack a book with a desire? I believe yes.  I think, that it is difficult to children to grasp the importance of studying. But at the same time their curiosity helps them to get full marks from some subjects, and on the other they feel bored and their attention wanders.  It is about schools, where pupils have a lot of core subjects, and they can’t choose. But in the universities students can withdraw the courses that they don’t want to attend. I think that it is great way to develop the students’ natural talents and show marked improvement in those areas they like.  Also, I honestly think that small groups help to become a quick learner and then straight A student – it is easier, because the person is concentrated and brainstorm some ideas all the time.  I’m totally convinced that there are also the other methods of improving educational system. And it is not only about further education. I’m sure, there are ways for developing even in nursery education. And as a result we will see the mental agility in the childhood and thirst for knowledge of every student.

Letter to my dear alien friends!

Dear friends,

While observing the different planets, I found out, that in the world there are a lot of the places, which are better than our boring Mars.

Now, I’m at the Earth. It is a beautiful planet, you know. And here I can see a lot of different houses, that are similar to ours, I even can say, that our houses were just reproduced in order to be as pretty as these.

So, I send you the video, to show, what I have seen firstly. This nice street is situated in the quiet quarter and I think it is on the outskirts of the city.

Here I see a lot of traditional up to date terraced houses, they are quite big, so I can suggest, that inside they are cosy and spacious with modern décor and stylish furniture. Every house has a porch.

Behind one of the houses, I found a shed, and a cellar. I can’t enter the rooms, but through the double-glazed windows, I can see fully-equipped kitchen, many interesting ultra-modern devices and airy fully-furnished luxurious hall with wonderful ornaments and potted plants. Some of the houses also have a balcony.

I think, that you should visit the Earth, too. Believe me, we can make here very interesting performance to give the people idea to make that funny films, which they call “horror”. I’m looking forward to you!

It was a real effort to stop the utter chaos in my train of though at the beginning of the trimester, But now, it is the last session and it is a time to sum up some prons and cons of our Vocabulary course. 

In fact, there were just few minuses;

1. Making a blogposts takes a lot of time. as for me,  I was doing some of the posts during 3 hours or thereabouts.

2. I think, that the task, that demands such a long period of time sould be more rewarding.

But, as a metter of fact, the course brough me an enormous benefits.

Firstly, using different virtual tools was phenomenally interesting.

It was very useful for me to find out, that there are a lot of cool sites to keep improving of the learning English.

Also I think, that I get the ability to use a combination of different collocations and learn how to combine the words related to unsimiliar topic in one text promptly.

Sometimes it was quite difficult to accomplish the task, because I was stressed out due to our rigorous schedule. And some of the tasks were considerably difficult to achieve and demanded to switch on all your initiative and enterprice.

Also, I faced the prospect of getting harmful by-product of procrastinating. 

Everybody should remember that the practice makes perfect and try to improve our skills.
